Wednesday

This is Ronda (Kerri's sister) writing from the hospital. Kerri asked me to give an update on Paige. Over the past 48 hours, her bladder has not worked and she has experienced more pain in her legs. She had radiation directed at her spine last night but it did not seem to help the situation and she is now catheterized. She is also now needing a blood transfusion every day. After consultation with her team, Ben and Kerri have decided to keep her at the hospital from now on. Chemotherapy has been discontinued and the emphasis will be on spending time with family and staying comfortable. Paige's doctor said today that it is likely that Paige has less than a week left.

A quiet peace comes down to me,
And fills the places where before
Weak thoughts were wandering wearily;

Dear Kerri and Ben, We are praying that you will find peace and comfort from God Himself. "The Eternal God is thy refuge; underneath are the everlasting arms."

Romans 12:15 says to rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn.

So many brothers and sisters in Christ are walking alongside of you during this heartbreaking journey... Our hearts are breaking as we imagine how it would feel if it were our daughter going through this, and the tears we shed show that we do hurt for and with you... and we also rejoice with you over the fact that our God brought this sweet girl to this earth to be your daughter "for such a time as this." Her life, and your whole family's, has brought Christ so much glory.

Still praying for the peace that passes all understanding to come to you all through the Way, the Truth and the Life of the Price of Peace.

Kerri, Ben & family,

We have been following Paige's progress all along and are so sad to sit down tonight and read the latest update. Paige is so loved and she knows how much she is loved - that is clear by her beautiful smile. We're thinking of you guys.

Much love,
Julia (Murray) & Doug Vogt

Oh Jesus, wrap YOUR ARMS around each member of the MAxwell/Hanson families! Swaddle them in your love, comfort and courage! You know Father how it hurts so deeply for Your Children to release one of our children back into your arms...we trust You with them...but Lord, Oh Jesus, we love them sooo much...we want to keep them for as long as possible...so let these families experience You in the midst of their heartake! Your Comfort...wash them in it, in Jesus Name, in Jesus Name, Amen!
We love you all, are holding you in our arms and prayers! We shed our tears with yours...In His Love, Aunt Sylvia

Kerri & Ben, Luke and your families,
I can hardly write or think about what you've been going through without crying, esp. as Arthur is about the same age as Paige. If the pain is this intense looking on, I can hardly imagine what it must be like for you. Somehow I know and choose to believe that God is good, even when it feels just the opposite. You are loved and prayed for,
Karena

The pics from this weekend were priceless... thank you for the updates. We are still praying for a miracle, and continue to pray for the peace that only He can offer during times like this.

(that peace being from the PRINCE of Peace, not the Price of Peace, which I had accidentally typed in my last comment.) :-)

So sweet to hear in the Saturday post that she has a treasure box that she carries her treasures around in. I know what a treasure she has been to you and to so many.
